Job Description

A sizable organization in the food sector is seeking a strategic Commercial Director with a strong foundation in marketing leadership, business development, and product innovation experience to drive growth in the food manufacturing sector. This leadership role will oversee marketing team, product development, and business expansion, ensuring competitive positioning in the market while managing profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Reports to CEO. Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive revenue, market share, and brand positioning.
  • Lead and mentor the marketing team, product development team, and business development division, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Identify and establish new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels within confectionery, bakery, ready-to-eat, and food service sectors.
  • Oversee product innovation and market trends to ensure alignment with customer needs and industry developments.
  • Drive marketing campaigns, brand management, and digital engagement strategies to maximize visibility and consumer connection.
  • Collaborate with R&D, operations, and sales teams to streamline business operations and enhance product offerings.
  • Manage full P&L accountability, ensuring revenue targets, cost control, and profitability goals are met.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, market analysis, and risk management strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of leadership experience in marketing and business development, ideally within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Proven success in managing marketing, product development, and business growth teams.
  • Strong understanding of food production especially in confectionery, bakery, ready-to-eat, and food service sectors.
  • Expertise in market analysis, competitive strategy, digital marketing, and brand positioning.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and financial acumen.
  • Ability to develop long-term commercial strategies that align with business objectives while maintaining financial oversight.
