General Manager, Fashion Brand
Job Description
Our client is a renowned fashion retailer with a strong presence across Greater China. They are seeking a seasoned and visionary General Manager to lead brand strategy and drive business growth across Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China. This pivotal role requires a dynamic leader with deep expertise in brand management, overseeing cross-functional teams in design, product development, merchandising, business development, and retail operations.
Job Responsibilities:
The incumbent has full P&L accountability for a fashion brand business across Hong Kong and Mainland China, leading sizable team to drive brand transformation and business development.
Brand Leadership & Strategy
- Define and execute brand direction and positioning to ensure consistent identity across all markets.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive brand experiences, including design, product development, merchandising, and retail operations.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to drive revenue, maximize profitability, and achieve multi-channel business targets.
Retail Development & Expansion
- Spearhead store development initiatives, including site selection, layout planning, and execution for new store openings.
- Expand brand footprint across Hong Kong, Macau, and China, ensuring alignment with brand values and market needs.
Product & Merchandising Management
- Guide product development teams in creating market-relevant collections tailored to regional consumer preferences.
- Oversee merchandising strategies to optimize product mix, inventory, and seasonal planning.
Operational Excellence
- Monitor and enhance retail performance, ensuring operational efficiency and superior customer experience.
- Collaborate with internal departments to drive business initiatives and streamline processes.
E-Commerce Business Management
- Oversee the brand’s e-commerce strategy and operations, ensuring seamless integration with offline channels and optimizing digital performance across platforms.
Business Development & Partnerships
- Support the development of distribution networks and cultivate strategic partnerships with wholesale accounts.
- Design and implement promotional campaigns and incentive programs to boost sales and brand engagement.
Team Leadership & Development
- Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.
- Provide training and coaching to elevate service standards and team capabilities.
Reporting & Analysis
- Deliver insightful reports, forecasts, and market analysis to senior management.
Requirements
- University graduate
- Minimum 10 years’ fashion retail industry, store operations management, product development and merchandising expertise.
- Strong business acumen, analytical skill and numerical sense
- Work experience in relevant to China retail market management is essential.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with track record in leading a sizable team.
- Proactive, presentable, excellent communication and influencing skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
