Job Description
Our client is a luxury hospitality group located in the heart of Hong Kong. They are seeking a professional Executive Chef to lead operation management across multiple prestigious restaurants, including Michelin-starred and specialty outlets. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional leadership in kitchen management, strong cross‑cuisine expertise in Western and Chinese, and a passion for sustainability. This is a rare opportunity to drive culinary excellence, mentor a high‑performing team, and influence the strategic direction of F&B division of the group.
Responsibility:
- Lead, coach, and develop the culinary team through structured training, performance management, and succession planning to build a high‑performing, motivated workforce.
- Attend regular management meetings, prepare and present operational and financial reports, and collaborate effectively with senior management on business planning and decision‑making.
- Enforce full compliance with HACCP systems, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards, maintaining all required certifications and audits.
- Champion sustainability initiatives within the F&B division—reducing food waste, sourcing responsibly, and promoting energy‑efficient kitchen practices.
- Partner closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations, equipment readiness, and service excellence across all outlets.
- Monitor guest feedback and operational performance, proactively implementing improvements to enhance guest satisfaction and uphold brand reputation.
Requirement:
- Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or Hospitality Management, or equivalent professional training.
- Minimum 12 years of culinary experience, with proven success as an Executive Chef / Culinary Director in luxury hotels overseeing multiple outlets.
- Strong operational and staff management skills, with demonstrated ability to lead large kitchen teams and maintain discipline and efficiency.
- Proven ability to interact confidently with senior management, attend executive meetings, and produce clear, data‑driven management reports.
- Strong in Western cuisines with exposure in Chinese cuisines would be a definite advantage, with deep understanding of fine‑dining standards and cross‑cultural menu development.
- Passionate advocate for sustainability and innovation in culinary operations.
- Certified and experienced in HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English. (Fluency in Chinese in a plus.)
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset. Proven track record in cost control and inventory management.
