Senior Merchandising Manager, Confectionary

We are seeking a seasoned Merchandising Manager to spearhead growth initiatives for our client in food retail and distribution business. This pivotal role focuses on exploring new product (food category), managing a portfolio of brands, cultivating strategic partnerships, and unlocking new sales channels across local and international markets. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in the FMCG sector (food industry) and a proven ability to drive revenue and build lasting relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify new brand partnerships (local or overseas) and secure current brands’ partnership that align with the company’s growth strategy.
• Manage a portfolio of brands. Develop and execute business development plans for both local and overseas markets to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brand principals, key customers, and strategic business partners.
• Analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights to uncover high-potential business opportunities.
• Lead and inspire the Merchandising and Sales team to achieve ambitious sales targets and maintain strong engagement with stakeholders.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment of resources and strategic target.
• Drive ad hoc initiatives that support broader business goals and innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in food merchandising, with strong focus in sourcing and brand management.
• Demonstrated success in launching new business streams across local and international markets.
• Commercially savvy, results-oriented, and highly strategic thinker.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of managing high-performing sales and business development teams.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
